ELECTRICAL WORK IN ZETLAND

Zetland barely existed twenty years ago. Now it's a wall-to-wall new-build precinct around East Village and Green Square, with thousands of apartments, dozens of strata schemes, and a population that mostly arrived after 2015. The work here is unique — almost everything we touch is post-2010 construction, and the problems are mostly the problems of modern density rather than ageing infrastructure.

EV chargers are now the biggest single thing we do in Zetland. Apartment owners want a charger on their basement bay, the strata committee wants a load study and a proper sub-metering plan, and the builder's original electrical plans rarely accounted for half the building wanting to charge at once. We handle the lot — initial site survey, strata approval pack, hardware install, and commissioning. Most buildings around here can take 7kW chargers without trouble; 22kW needs a closer look at the main switchboard.

Smart-home wiring is the other big driver. Owners moving into a new apartment quickly find the developer ran two CAT6 ports in the wrong corner, no neutral wires behind switches for smart lighting, and a single TV point in the lounge. We back-fit smart switches, network ports, multi-room audio, and motorised blind power. Where we can fish through ceiling voids without ripping plaster, we do — clean cosmetic finishes matter in a new apartment.

We also pick up plenty of warranty-period defects — flickering downlights, tripping kitchen circuits, intercom faults. We're licensed (CL 376553C and 000108133) and document everything so you can chase the builder if it's still in defects liability.
